He was responsible for the look and feel of many classic designs from Star Wars, and his influence can still be seen today. In fact, Mr. McQuarrie’s artwork helped convince 20th Century Fox to take a gamble on George Lucas’ dream, making him a key component in one of the most beloved franchises of all time.     Last month we presented coverage and a photo gallery showcasing SWNZ's attendance of a press conference at Skywalker Ranch. Today we move onto the second destination of that galactic itinerary, to take a look at the San Francisco offices of Industrial Light and Magic (ILM). It was there that we were privy to an advance premiere screening of The Phantom Menace 3D, but first, we toured the creative catacombs of ILM and its sibling corporate entities. The Letterman Digital Arts Center is located in The Presidio of San Francisco - a scenic park near the cityside aspect of the Golden Gate Bridge.

    Quite a while returning, I published an amazing Star Wars AT-AT constructed from pancakes or a Millennium Falcon pancake but if you will always weren’t satisfied by way of those, at this point I have far more Star Wars pancakes to mention! This amazing couple of pancake art which runs from a Darth Vader pancake to an R2-D2 hot cake to a Yoda Hot cake and even a Jabba the actual Hut pancake came to be by Nathan Guards of Sai Pancakes. I assume my favorite may be the Chewbacca hot cake although My spouse and i wouldn’t turn aside any of them when they showed up in this little plate.

    Ree is the Magic Number. (Vintage Ree-Yees) Kenner released around 100 different action figures between 1977 and 1985. I’d be hard-pressed to name one that has a more compelling sculpt, more attention to detail, and just generally more love poured into it than the diminutive Ree-Yees from Return of the Jedi. It’s ironic considering that the character had about 1.8 seconds of screen time! Got a favorite character that might not be in the spotlight of popularity? Let me know in the comments.

The vintage Bib Fortuna action figure is approximately 100% creepier than the actual character from Return of the Jedi.
