In approaching Rebels, which has a very different tone than Clone Wars, did you prepare differently? Dave Filoni: Not really.

    Sander De Lange
    27 Feb 2015 | 12:00 pm
Ever since the original Star Wars was released in 1977, fans have always been dreaming about living in that galaxy far, far away. While that may be just a little difficult, there are still the real-world locations that served as various worlds during filming, and they can be visited. In Galactic Backpacking, we explore these locations by country, looking at their histories and current attractions. Ewoks and Gungans, love them or hate them, are hugely important to the Star Wars saga — after all, both races were instrumental in overthrowing an evil regime. In this first part dealing…

  • 5 Classic Star Wars Games to Match Modern Tastes

    Anthony Gallegos
    27 Feb 2015 | 9:18 am
Most of us have a favorite genre of games. From RPGs to shooters, we’re drawn to titles that are familiar and fun. For some of us this means hitting up the next Call of Duty or Battlefield, while for others it’s checking out every new space flight simulator that comes out, such as Elite: Dangerous or the upcoming Star Citizen. After all, just because we’re Star Wars fans doesn’t mean we only play Star Wars games. So, in lieu of simply waiting for the 2015 Star Wars: Battlefront, allow me to make some classic Star Wars game recommendations for fans of these other recent or upcoming…

When I left Alaska to work on Star Wars Celebrations for Lucasfilm in 2001, I paraphrased a quote by Henry David Thoreau and stuck it on my fridge: “I left the wilds for the same reason I went there. I felt I had several more lives to live, and could not spare any more time for that one.” Now, after almost 14 years of working on Star Wars, it’s time for another life. I’m moving on from Lucasfilm. But I’m not completely moving on from Star Wars, thank the Maker. In my new job at ReedPOP I will remain working on Star Wars Celebration from their side, the show production side. Those of…

Without a doubt, diversity is a hot topic everywhere you go and turn, often leading to insightful conversations or fullblown arguments, especially on social media. Some people are tired of hearing about it (because it’s either not relevant to them or they just don’t see the issue at large), while many more continue to bring the issue about the lack of diversity and representation to the forefront of public attention.
